By placing an order you agree to these terms, together with our Refund and Returns Policy, Shipping Policy and Privacy Policy, which all form part of them.

Placing an order

Adding a rug to your basket does not reserve it. A contract exists only when we email you to confirm your order. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if a rug cannot be produced, if it was listed at a clearly wrong price, or if we suspect fraud, and we will refund you in full if we do.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars and include worldwide shipping. They do not include import duty or taxes charged in your own country. Please see our Shipping Policy.

We may change prices at any time, but never after your order is confirmed. Payment is taken at checkout, before weaving begins.

Made to order goods

Every rug is woven after you order it. Rugs in our listed standard sizes may be returned under our Refund and Returns Policy. Rugs woven to a custom size are made only for you and are final sale. That policy sets this out in full.

Handmade variation

Finished size may vary from the stated dimensions by up to 2 to 3 percent, and colour varies between dye lots and from how it appears on your screen. These are characteristics of handmade work, not defects.

Care

Follow the care guidance supplied with your rug. Damage caused by machine washing, harsh chemicals, or cleaning methods we have not recommended is not covered.

Intellectual property

All designs, photographs and text on this site belong to Handwoven Heirlooms. You may not copy, reproduce, resell or use them commercially without our written permission.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh shall have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law provisions of your own country, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within one month of receipt.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one published here when you placed it.
